I just finished reading Anathem, by Neal Stephenson. It was really, really good. People have complained about the prevalence of made-up words in the book. Those people are dumb and shouldn’t read books anymore. The scope of the book was quite large, and I can’t even imagine the amount of research that went into it.
I’m afraid I don’t want to say much more, and encourage anyone who likes books and has noted in the past that I like books that they end up liking to go out and read it like I did, with zero foreknowledge, and skip the ‘intro’ till about page 800, like Neal suggests.
